Eternity Rings
The eternity ring started to become popular during the early part of the 20th century. It was during that time that platinum was used more frequently in jewellery design. The use of platinum not only gave jewellery a crisp, white look that was fashionable at the time, but the strong metal allowed slim bands of diamonds and other precious stones to be held securely.
Full or half diamond eternity rings were often made with alternating sapphires, rubies, emeralds or aquamarines. Our range features original vintage designs set with either round brilliant cut or square cut gemstones. A modern variation is the curved diamond eternity ring that is shaped to gently fit around the central gemstone in an engagement ring.
Yellow gold eternity rings are today a popular item. Although platinum eclipsed gold for many years, the many thousands of years of yellow gold jewellery meant that this metal continues to be a good choice. Love both metals? The two tone eternity ring has the gemstones set in platinum with the band in yellow gold.
