Ring Sizing Guide
How to ensure the correct ring size when the ring is a surprise
If you are giving a ring as a complete surprise there is no exact way to guess the correct size. Here are some helpful suggestions:
- Compare her engagement ring finger with your own fingers so that you have a form of comparison for size.
- See if there are any rings that she wears on the same finger that can be used to obtain a guide to her size. You can visit us and we can help you gauge the correct size from your partner’s ring. Alternatively, you could visit a local jeweller and kindly ask them for the UK ring size.
- If appropriate, ask her friends and family.
If you are unable to find out the ring size, this is not a problem. Please select the ‘I don’t know’ selection. We will make the ring in an average size and re-size free of charge the first time.

Working out your own ring size
It is always best to visit a local jeweller to measure your ring size. You can visit us so we can check your ring size at an appointment. It is worth noting the size of your fingers can change throughout the day and can often be slightly larger towards the end of day. It is advisable to measure your ring size at the beginning of the day, if possible, or when you are not too warm.
The perfect fit
Your ring should sit snugly on the finger. Ideally your ring should not spin around the finger. It is common to lightly push a ring over the knuckle and for it to fit comfortably on the base of the finger. Your ring may be slightly tighter to remove at night time or when you are hot.
